Will mobile-only banks become disruptive?

The new breed of virtual-only banks that target mobile-savvy consumers have been getting a lot of attention, but it is too early to gauge their likely impact on the banking industry or how successful they will be in attracting customers. The three main U.S. virtual-only banking services providers are GoBank, Moven and Simple. In Europe, a leading provider of virtual-only banking is Munich, Germany-based Fidor Bank, which was set up in 2009 and now has more than 200,000 customers.
